1 - Do I need to purchase any additional equipment with an ISDN FRA/PRA line?

You need to have an ISDN compatible phone system, your system supplier will be able to advise.

2 - How fast is information transferred over an ISDNFRA/PRA line?

Data travels over an ISDNFRA/PRA line at 64Kbps per channel. An ISDN FRA includes 16-30 channels. ISDN PRA includes 30 channels.

3 - How long does it take to get my line connected?

Standard installation is within 6-8 weeks of placing your order for ISDN FRA/PRA. Please note availability is subject to a site survey and feasibility check.

4 - How much does an ISDN FRA/PRA cost?

There is a once off connection fee of €3,299 for ISDN FRA and ISDN PRA, thereafter monthly rental is €277.06 for an ISDN PRA and €166.50 for an ISDN FRA.

5 - What if I require more DDIs?

DDIs are purchased in blocks of 100 numbers, up to blocks of 10,000 numbers at a connection cost of €126.97, and monthly rental of €63.49 per 100 block, €476.15 monthly rental per 1,000 block and €3,174.35 monthly rental per 10,000 block.

6 - What is ISDN FRA/PRA?

ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network. It is a digital phone line that allows you to send and receive voice, data, images and video conferencing over the one line.ISDN Fractional Rate Access (FRA) is the ideal solution for growing companies and includes 16 individual channels that can carry voice or data. Additional channels can be added as your business grows. ISDN Primary Rate Access (PRA) is ideal for larger businesses providing 30 channels each capable of carrying voice or data.

7 - What is a Direct Dial In (DDI)?

A DDI is a block of additional numbers that can be attached to your ISDNFRA/PRA line. DDIs allow you to give your staff individual numbers so a caller can contact the person they want directly, without going through reception. They also allow you to attach individual numbers to specific pieces of equipment, such as telephones or fax machines. Each ISDN FRA/PRA comes with 100 DDIs.
